Firstly. Don't panic !
If you can lick the tip, that's cool. Enjoy what you can already do. You're already ahead of about 80% of the guys in the world.
Go back thru the old posts and read what Shamman has written. He explained how your body changes itself to let you go further, and how that takes a bit of time to happen.
It's taken me a few months to go from lickin the tip to having my lips on the head and it is worth all the work.
2 things that helped me were- 1/ Keepimg my clothes on and just stretching without always trying to ss and 2/ I started doing a lot of backward bends for martial arts moves and it made my front bending way better.{Bridges, cobras and backbends in handstand}
That's my 2c.
