: I'm 51 now and I started trying in the early 1990's. Just like you, I used to do it when I was in my teen years. I stopped in my twenties and began thinking about it around 1991. It didn't take long for me to lick my dick but I did pull muscles in my lower back a few times trying to reach too far. Go slow!

: I've learned to warm up by stretching and breathing slowly. Sometimes I can just tell that I'm not limber enough to s.s. on a given day. Yesterday I got almost half of my dick in my mouth but today I have to rest my back muscles.

: Did you check out Al's tutorial on self sucking? It is the best advice you can find about getting there. I had trouble with my neck last year from putting too much pressure on it in the plough position. I now lay on one or two pillows to keep my neck free and make sure to pull my hips more toward my chest than my head. It works for me but you may need to experiment (slowly!) to find what works for you.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the advice. I have been studying the tutorials and what you have said is taken to heart. Patience to prevent becoming a patient... It's very encouraging to hear that I'm not the only one to come back to this at middle-age!
I particularly appreciate that you can tell you're not limber enough on a given day. This definitely requires that I listen to what my body is telling me. I know from my previous yoga experience that this involves a lot of deprogramming of old mental attitudes stored in muscle tissue. Attitudes that took years to cement in place won't go away overnight. But, I do have my goal in sight!
