: I tried the "plough position" for a couple days and am wondering if it's safe or not to do a little daily. My neck and back are fairly sore, and I have to say I have my concerns... Thanks. (Note that I can't do this - I thought maybe with lots of practice I could someday.)

It's safe if you do it in moderation, since you're just starting out. My neck and back have been sore on several occasions, and the last time I did it, I was sore for a long time. I am hoping that I'll be able to try again soon. You have to realize that you're stretching muscles and tendons that usually don't get stretched in everyday use. The plow position is similar (if not the same) as a yoga position, so it is good for your, as long as you don't overdo it.
