one of the yahoo groups had some surveys of things like that (don't recall which one off-hand...i think al has a list of ss groups elsewhere on the site though)
plough seems to be the most popular and was a huge majority in the survey, though that one has never worked that well for me. i prefer using the 'c' position by crossing my arms under my thighs and grabbing each opposite forearm near the elbow. sometimes with my arms towards my knees and others with them almost under my ass (my mileage varies too ;o) )
