I don't know. My dad has high blood pressure and he has to monitor it so I thought I'd check mine just for the heck of it. My blood pressure was fine, but my pulse was rather high and I've checked it a few times since then and it's been high too. I started having a burning sensation in my chest one day and that along with my heart rate had me a little worried so I went to the doctor and he ran some tests on me, including an EKG. According to that, my pulse was normal, which makes me think that maybe I just get nervous when someone takes my blood pressure. However, the chest pains turned out to be acid reflux (heartburn) and he suggested I take some Zantac which works. I guess when I am in the plough position, it does put pressure on my internal organs, including my stomach and that's why I have been getting heartburn. I never had it until I started selfing on a regular basis.
