Hey my friends,
Due to a fuck-up on the part of the hosting company the forums were down for a few days, and we lost all posts from Wednesday through today.
Sorry!

So glad to see the forum back up! I missed it, but was confident that things would work out. A lot of self suckers were probably going through withdrawal.
Thanks

Aaaargh! The forums were down again this morning and we lost another day of posts. Sorry guys! I'm talking with the hosting company about why this is happening...

Maybe our population has grown so much that we're having bandwidth issues...
I know many sites use a system where if the user doesn't post a message once in a specified time period, their account is auto-deleted. Could be something to set up. This would force the lurkers who have memberships but don't post to either post and take part or lurk like guest users and don't require account profiles, freeing up network space for the rest of us.
We could also install a PayPal Donate button. Some folks want to show support but don't really want to purchase anything. A small Paypal button right beside our sex-toy store link up there could do wonders...
Just some thoughts.

Thanks Randy! I don't think it's a bandwidth thing - I think the hosting company is putting their efforts into higher-paying accounts and not paying enough attention to relatively small sites like this one, which is extra-annoying because I've been a faithful customer for over 10 years (which is like 100 years in Internet Years), If it wasn't such a pain to move over to another host I'd do it.
I'd never thought about the "Donate" button idea but I think I will do it - it's a very good idea. If we got a few 10 or 20 dollar donations a month I could bump us up to the next level of hosting and we'd probably have less problems.
I'm trying to remember to back up the whole forum every day so we won't lose as many posts if there are problems again...
