Sorry for the problems with the forums!

Sorry my friends - I know there have been various problems with the forums for the last week! My hosting company convinced me to move solosuck.com over to a new "better" server and it's been a total cluster-fuck - and not in a fun way ;)

As of today the problems with posting new messages seem to be taken care of, but ALL of the image and video attachments on messages from before the move are not working, and the private message system is broken.

We're working on it and hope to have it all fixed up soon. I hope you'll stick with us!

And - just to finish off on a happy note - here's a couple of videos of talented men that I don't think we've had posted in the forums before.

OK - I THINK the private message problem is fixed - please let me know if you have any problems with that or any of the other regular features of the forums.

Thanks for your patience!

Hip Hip Hooray! As far as I can tell everything is working again - what a relief!

Thanks for your patience, my friends, and if you do find any problems don't hesitate to send me a message.

The Robot Jack file doesn't download and play for me. Flip Player says it's not a movie file, as does Quick Time.

You'll need a good flv player to play it. GOM player plays it without issue. :) I use GOM for almost everything now.

Huh - sorry about that Eddie. It downloads and plays just fine in Quicktime on my Mac. Are you generally able to play .flv files? When you download it are you getting a file with the .flv extension at the end of the file name?

Maybe try the player Zig mentions or VLC which will usually play pretty much anything? It's a hot clip!

Al,

(re the flv file)

The fly file downloads to my Mac's desktop, but doesn't open automatically. If I double click on it, a message appears: "This is not a movie file."

If I launch Quicktime, >open, and try to open the fly file, I get the same message.

I tried downloading Zig's suggested player, but it turned into a problem, and I had a hard time deleting the ap.

I have saved other fly af/ss files, and Quicktime plays them fine.

The mp4 file downloads and plays fine.

Thanks,

Eddie

wow sorry for all the issues Eddie... This video is gonna make you work for it... :x There's supposed to be an FLV dashboard widget from Adobe that will allow you to play flvs on your Mac. I can't remember what its called and lost my Apple job last month. I know there's an actual flv player for Mac called Wimpy as well. I did find this discussion board about the same issue:
