So Xtube sent me a personalized mail (or at least what looked personalized) asking me to become a webcam model. I'm loosely thinking about it... As my clips haven'd made very much money, I'm thinking this would probably be a waste...

Not only that, but we offer free webcam here... so I just don't feel right trygin to charge for it. I feel like its okay to charge for my vids cause work went into making them.. but a webcam... I'm not sure. The payment program is alot better for cam-models than it is for just posting clips though..

Oh and one of my subscribers also asked me for a private show...

Thanks for keeping us up to date - it's interesting to hear how someone is doing with the tube-site video sales thing. The tube sites, along with all the free porn that folks are posting, sharing and torrenting are making it really hard for those of us who try to make a living from our videos - my income is down by more than a third since the beginning of the year. I don't know that anyone but the site owners are making real money from the tube sites.
Yeah - once you start to do any sex thing for money it raises questions about where it's appropriate to do it for free and that can be a great disadvantage - I guess it's something we all decide case-by-case.

Well Al, I can say honestly, that I feel your videos are a little pricey. No offense. However, I refuse to search for any of our members stuff, yours especially, on torrents becuase I want to support our community. It is for this reason that I post both free and PPV content. If I had the cash, I'd have all your videos cause you've been a real inspiration to my self-satisfaction quests!

Now in more honesty, the Xtube thing is very expensive on your payouts.

I have one video that is about 4 minutes long. I charge 40 cents for it. There is a processing fee of 6 cents, after that xtube and I split the rest 50/50. So on this video I make 17 cents per viewing. This video has been viewed once. I have another 20 minute video that is $2.00, fee is $0.25, split again as always is 50/50 so I make like $0.85 or something like that... this video has seen about 4 or 5 viewings. Currently with all my videos gathered up, I've made about $8.50 or so... They don't payout any cheques until you've amassed $50.00... Loooonnnggg way to go...

So sometimes, I think I should do more like you and just make a DVD or cassette and stick my price on it and sell that instead....

But C'est la Vie... I'll keep filming and posting, and most importantly, having a great wank in the meantime!
