First attempt
Hi there I've decided to increase my general flexibility as part of my new years resolution and stumbled upon this site. Lets say I was interested right away. I was tempted to jump right in but decided to read through which has armed me with much knowledge for this new endeavour. The last hour or so I've been stretching out and when I felt limber has my first attempt. Turns out I'm closer than expected, I can just about get my tongue to make contact. There's no real sensation but the thought is thrilling.
Below sums up my first lesson.
Pro
I'm more flexible than I realised and this is certainly motivation.
I can make contact.
There's numerous tweaks I can make right away that should help.
Con
I'm a little heavy and I can feel my belly limiting me a little. I also have a lot of muscle but I don't want to lose that.
Didn't leave enough time for my dinner to go down.
Still very novice with the stretches but have found more than one tight area. (Need to design a plan ans stick to it).
Only get 2 times a week that I can have a serious stretch and test session. Other stretching will have to be minimal.
Another inch will make all the difference.

Re: First attempt
An inch isn't that much to make up. If you keep trying over the next several weeks you should be able to make it.
