Plough Position - Safe?

I tried the "plough position" for a couple days and am wondering if it's safe or not to do a little daily. My neck and back are fairly sore, and I have to say I have my concerns... Thanks. (Note that I can't do this - I thought maybe with lots of practice I could someday.)
